My grandparents are undecided whether they should make a will.
They have a bank account that is jointly shared with me and my mother and two houses in a foreign country, which although undecided about what to do with them, I believe they would eventually leave it to their other grown children to take care of.
Since the bank accounts are taken care of by being jointly shared, as far as I see the only necessity to draw up a Will will be to specify who gets the houses.
My grandparents are US Citizens, but they no longer live in the USA. They’ve moved to Haiti where they reside in their houses.
If I get a lawyer to plan for their estate planning, will he/she have the ability to help us with making a decision on the houses that are in Haiti?
