Pros and cons

Pros
  • No foreign transaction fee

Cons
  • Has annual fee

The Delta Reserve® Credit Card from American Express, which comes with an annual fee of $450 (This offer is no longer valid on our site), is an excellent choice for those who can consistently maximize the card's generous companion certificate benefit. This valuable certificate, which renews every year, can potentially be redeemed for a round-trip domestic first-class ticket for your traveling partner. Terms apply.

The card also offers 2 miles per dollar spent on eligible purchases made directly with Delta, 1 mile per dollar spent on all other eligible purchases, and a big welcome offer that gets you a little closer to qualifying for elite status, which in turn gets you more loyalty benefits: Limited Time Offer: Earn 75,000 Bonus Miles and 5,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles after you spend $5,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. Terms Apply. (This offer is no longer valid on our site)

This card isn't ideal for cost-conscious travelers who don't often fly first class or can't make use of the companion certificate. But for Delta devotees who love traveling in style and can use the companion certificate consistently, it's an excellent choice.
